As one of two United States based institutions invited to contribute data and insights at the top think tank in Latin America, our team participated in a comparative study group specialized in analyzing the main regulatory issues affecting global financial markets with a focus on Brazil’s credit and stock markets. Participants of this study group include heads of financial institutions, legislators, power brokers, and researchers.

OUTCOMES

  • Contributed to financial and regulatory research

  • Established relationships with key stakeholders including heads of financial institutions, ministers of finances, legislators, power brokers and researchers 

  • Developed a deeper comparative analysis of the PIX payment systems

  • Explored the impact of globalized and virtual currency platforms, including emerging and non-traditional financial services platforms (e.g. Facebook, Starbucks, etc.)
